sunday finds

how is your sunday, friends?  mine has been wonderful. healthy breakfast, pressed coffee, and time with chase.  i enjoy our casual, lazy sundays together.  browsing through and pinning of course...is always something that i look forward to, and how can you not?!

my close friends know that i don't have internet at home so i spend few hours a week doing the things i'd do too often if not otherwise restricted. :)

look through the following and let me know what you are up to this weekend? sharing a glass of wine with your friends? relaxing? sunbathing (or avoiding the texas heat)? shopping? reading? serving? cooking things that you don't have enough time for during the week?

also, several of you know about the little shirt business i had in college. the days of mixing my passion for design, need-for-creative-outing from organic chemistry and venturing into nutrition-food-wellness...
i was inspired today by rachel.  she has a jewelry business and etsy shop, and blogs at elephantine
her jewelry is beautiful. simple. elegant. all sorts of everyday lovely.
check her site out- even just to peak at her cute pets :).  i love seeing how artists go from passion/talent to profession.  hers is quite unique.  good luck, rachel.  your work is beautiful.

exploring

i found a few things i want to share.

1. chemex- a vessel which makes delicious coffee. if it looks like a chemistry experiment, it's supposed to. that's how it came to be. Dr. Peter J. Schlumbohm developed it in 1941. how the heck did i find out about it? i saw when shopping with mom today and i thought, what the heck is that? so i researched it. i'll be saving for one. :)

2. make your own moleskin
michael shannon posts this on his website. he does amazing work. very creative. i also love how he uses the human heart as a background design for his site....you'll see.

3. if i could choose... (notonthehighstreet.com)- a great site with lots of goodies for anyone

4. anthropologie. of course those of you who know me well, know that i enjoy perusing the store. i don't have to buy anything (or take illegal pictures). i just soak up the inspiration, go home, journal or find what i liked in the store -online- and use it for art night. with kate and alma, of course!

ooh i just can't wait until monday. art. creativity. friendship. Jesus. dinner.

goodnight.

have a wonderfully creative, restful weekend.
